Now that Christmas is over, (a moment of silence for the end of Christmas) we need to prepare for another celebration and that is NEW YEAR'S EVE. For the past few days, I've seen numerous videos and blog posts on how other people are preparing for NYE which mostly consisted of new sequin-y and glittery dresses. However, even though those dresses were SOOOOOOOOO incredibly cute, I didn't wanna spend money on an article of clothing that I'll only wear occasionally and thought that maybe some of you guys out there don't want to as well. This NYE look consists of basic items and a few fun and NYE-worthy touches.

What a better way to end 2015 than one of my most favorite trends?

Adding fun socks is always a good idea especially in social gatherings where conversation starters are gold to awkward turtles like me.

Last but not least, adding a gorgeous statement necklace can fulfill the social construct that tells you that NYE outfits need to be glamorous (YEAY!). Oh, and throwing on a faux leather is cool because DUHHH.
