Girls loving pink, it's a pretty common idea about the female population and for the longest time, I've tried to push it away and go against it. Reverse psychology? But coming into college, I couldn't help it: there's really something about pink. It can be soft and then, striking. It can deliver aesthetic pleasure, both contemporary and retro. And, more importantly, the right shades look reeeaall good with my skin tone.

Today, I continue to share with you my attempts of compensating for the last 17 years wherein I despised pink.

First up, I wanted to talk about these gorgeous illustrations I bought in UPTC from a lovely lady. I got both of these cards for a small 150 php and lemme tell you, it took so much to step away from another pair that featured a girl and a bunny but I had to get this one because there was just the perfect amount of calm and wonder through out both of them.

As a perpetual #brokegirl, I never thought I would give into a bottle of nailpolish costing more than 400 php, but just like about a lot of other things, I was wrong. However, I was happy to discover that this nailpolish was like the equivalent of a real long lasting matte liquid lipstick; it lasted a whole week without chipping!

Moving on to a cheeky note ( :3 ), I recently got a Human<3Nature blush in the color sun-kissed and am officially in love. The swatch I did gives this blush ZERO justice but to give you guys an idea of how its like, just read the shade name! It literally makes it look like you've been kissed by the sun (in a good way.) - Cruelty-free. 295 php.

I've joined the bomber club with this soft pink number that I got in the Stradivarius sale. This baby goes with so many looks, making it into my repertoire of clothing pieces, and I'm glad I got to grab the last one~

Last but not least, I bought this ribbed dress that goes all the way to my knees on Asos one weekday night; no regrets. (sorry I didn't get to take a proper photo)

I've been obsessed with shopping for a long time now. With every amount I save after a week, I get a peso closer to getting that top I NEED, that skirt "I totally DONT have one like already", or the new BASIC. But with this attitude, my closer will never be complete and I know that I'll never be satisfied. And so, I've been making a little more of an effort to go through the items that used to be that something I NEEDED, that something I DIDN'T have already, and that new BASIC. Here's one of the looks Ive worn featuring those newly-found old pieces:

BAG: Borrowed from my sister's closet
No need to buy a similar one for yourself when you can prey--I mean, ask your sibling nicely.
TOP: Something I used to wear all the time last year
bringing back them old favorites is a good thing!

JACKET: One of my favorites from more 4 years ago

SKIRT: A new addition
but hey, I didn't say I completely gave up on buying new items!

I've been producing posts in this blog for a while now and in all those years of making more and more of a digital footprint, I've been hiding.

You see, this blog of mine is a secret one. Not to you but to most of the people I know in my personal life. The only people who know of my passion outlet is my immediate family and my boyfriend, Chen, who has begged to learn what my blog name is since I told him I had one. But I've never dwelled to much on it.

For the most part, I thought that it was because I wanted the challenge of have literally having NO ONE to share my blog posts to on my social media accounts. It was only about an hour before I started writing this that I realized what exactly was stopping me from sharing my blog. And surprisingly, it's name was its own. Though I do acknowledge that the quality of my posts have grown and I've branched out into different topics, I'm not 100% proud of my blog. Don't get me wrong, I do like what I post about and my manner of writing but something more special was lacking in my posts: multiple dimensions and creativity. And with this reason, I've decided to take my blog and start producing articles with a vision of ingenuity and sincerity in all its different aspects.

I want to write short essays, make my own series, and take better photos. I don't promise to achieve my own approval in an instant but Im working on it. Consider me, under construction.

From the bottom of my silly self, thank you for reading my blog

Now that Christmas is over, (a moment of silence for the end of Christmas) we need to prepare for another celebration and that is NEW YEAR'S EVE. For the past few days, I've seen numerous videos and blog posts on how other people are preparing for NYE which mostly consisted of new sequin-y and glittery dresses. However, even though those dresses were SOOOOOOOOO incredibly cute, I didn't wanna spend money on an article of clothing that I'll only wear occasionally and thought that maybe some of you guys out there don't want to as well. This NYE look consists of basic items and a few fun and NYE-worthy touches.

What a better way to end 2015 than one of my most favorite trends?
(white on white)

Adding fun socks is always a good idea especially in social gatherings where conversation starters are gold to awkward turtles like me.

Last but not least, adding a gorgeous statement necklace can fulfill the social construct that tells you that NYE outfits need to be glamorous (YEAY!). Oh, and throwing on a faux leather is cool because DUHHH.

What do you want to be when you grow up?
I want to be a princess!

When I was younger, my dream in life was to become a princess. As an adult, I no longer see that possible. Unless, of course, Prince Harry decides to marry me. *fingers crossed* Today, to make my childhood wish come true, I dressed up like one of my favorite Disney Princesse, Belle.

Basing this outfit from Belle's peasant dress, I started with the most crucial part of the outfit, the blue skirt. And so, I decided to throw on this one from dressgal which you can get here: <3
MINI REVIEW!
This skirt is incredibly amazing
(seriously, I was so pleasantly surprised like legit)
-The fabric is the right thickness and is so smooth
-The way the skirt sits is the right in between of flow-y and structured
-Its inexpensive!
(ITS ONLY 6 USD LIKE WAHHHTT?! MIND BLOWN)

Going back to the look, I decided to exude a simple yet smart vibe of Belle by putting on this white button down.

wow acting demure ^

BTW, shoutout to Maxine for taking the photos

[The blue midi skirt in this look was sent to me for free by dressgal. However, this does not in any way affect my opinion on the product]

As a fashion blogger, I feel like there is this unseen force that tells me that I have to only post about "cool", unique, and interesting outfits. However, today, I say "to hell to that unseen force!" with a simple black top.

I based this entire outfit from this simple black long sleeved top that I got for free thanks to dress gal.com (seriously, thank you dressgal!)

This simple top is perfect for achieving the casual modern look because
of its wide neckline, slightly flared shillouette, and lightweight fabric.

To complete the look I...
1. Put on a pair of straight cut denim jeans to keep it casual
2. Solid black heeled sandals to gimmie some of that height that I so desperately need
3. A simple silver necklace to emphasize the neckline of the shirt
4. A low bun because everyone looks more modern in a low bun

GET THE TOP:
($4.32)

AND THAT'S IT FOR THIS WEEK!
Next week, I'll be posting another lookbook featuring the favorite item I got from dressgal.com
(wow, blog post teaser)

In the Philippines, we don't really have Autumn. We have something called the rainy season but that doesn't mean that I can't find a way to rock Fall weather essentials like this parka. In today's I'll be using Fall colors and subtle cool weather essentials to bring Autumn to the Philippines.

The Base:
A lovely orange top + dark wash denim shorts

 The accessory:
To bump up the simple base,
I chose to slap on this statement watch (that doesn't have batteries).
Plus, the black faux leather straps keep with the
cozy casual vibe.

 The outerwear:
And here comes our 1st Fall essential:
the parka.
I folded the sleeves up so I can still survive
the not-so-hot-not-so-cold weather.

 The leg-wear:

An easy way to add personality (and warmth)
to an outfit is with a fun pair of socks.

This beige one is perfect for matching with
the other Fall colors.

 The footwear:

Black booties are the classic shoe choice for
the fall season but these oxford
lace up ones give a fun and slightly school-girl
twist.

Oh hai guyss~ For today's post I have a new youtube video to update you about.

For the past few years, the sports luxe trend has been gaining popularity as more bloggers and vloggers integrate sportswear into their everyday wear. In this video, I'll be dressing up 2 active-wear items. I loved filming and editing this video so I hope you guys enjoy it too~

(Can we please just laugh about how my expression on the photo above looks like I turned around, smelled something weird and got slightly confused?! HAHAHAH)

OH HELLO MY BEAUTIFUL READERS~ This week I present you another outfit feature my banana bag YEAAH

Sometimes we think that when working with stripes, we need to choose more subtle patterned or solid pieces of clothing to match with it but the beauty in style is that you can go beyond what we usually think! This time I decided to pair the stripes with its "cousin": Plaid.

Lastly, with simple patterns, you have the freedom to add a quirkier pattern without making the look overwhelming. And thus, the banana bag was NECESSARY.

Its almost the end of 2014 and so I thought "why not cap the year off with a great outfit FEATURING A BANANA BAG?!" HAHAH In this styling post, I play with different textures and fun prints (AGAIN, BANANA BAG!!). This is going to be a long post so may the scroollllllllllinnng begin.

Simple silver accessories give a classy look to the outfit

Layering a "formal" button down and a loose crop top makes things more casual and more tasteful. (Because print on print sometimes just don't work)

^^ Tyrna be funny but failing^^
Mixing prints and textures is a great way to unique-ify any outfit

Peeping socks are the shizz and since this outfit has a lot going on already (and I don't have a lot of fun socks) I opted for simple white socks

Skirt: Oasap
Watch: Fossil
Shoes: Asos (Brand: Truffle)
Scarf: I don't know
Bag: Uniqlo
Crop top: Bershka
Button down: H&M

THANK YOU SO SO MUCH TO MY SISTER WHO GOT ME THE BANANA BAG AND FOR TAKING THE PHOTOS

Looking forward to a fruitful (Banana bag) new year
*Cheers*
