Hi guys! So today I wanted to share to the world how I make sweet potato fries. These fries are SOOOOO GOOODDD. Even my sister (who is a picky eater) loves sweet potato fries. However, whenever I buy sweet potato fries, I just feel like I'm being slightly ripped off only because of the small portion sizes. Solution? MAKE THEM MYSELF! And I highly recommend that you make these for yourself too.
INGREDIENTS:
FRIES:
Sweet Potatoes (1 per person)
Olive oil
Salt
Pepper
Cayenne Pepper (ground)
DIP:
Japanese Mayo
Garlic Dressing
Lemon Juice
The ratio of Mayo : Dressing is 2:1
(Basically, just use more mayo than dressing)
I usually just use a wedge of lemon but you can do whatevah you want
1. Peel yaw potatoes
2. Cut them to your preferred fry size (Make sure that you try to make it as similar as possible so that it will cook at the same time. Learn from my mistakes.)
3. Pre-heat your oven to 218 degrees Celsius
4. Put the sweet potato in boiling water till you can easily poke it with a fork (This will cut the baking time by sooooo much)
You're welcome
4. Coat the fries in olive oil, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper. WARNING: DO NOT HANDLE STRAIGHT OUT OF THE POT
5. Put them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. (Making sure they don't touch each other!)
6. The oven should have been pre-heating for at least 30 mins. If so, put the pan in.
7. Bake for 10 mins
8. Flip
9. Bake for another 10 mins
10. You know their perfection when they aren't glossy anymore because of the "crust"/crunchy layer that has formed. (Im sorry I couldn't think of another term. Please forgive me~)
11. Make the dip simply by mixing the Japanese mayo, garlic dressing, and lemon juice together.
But you can totally eat these on their own or with ketchup~
12. Enjoy/devour
