Summer Lip Balm Picks | Tonymoly + Elizabeth Arden |

I like licking lips. To be specific, my lips. I've never been someone who favoured lip balms or other lip products for the purpose of mosturizing my lips. Granted, licking your lips probably doesn't do anything substantial but I just hate having that thick glop of gloop coating my lips and involuntarily making them assume a subtle pout position throughout the entire day. BUT ENOUGH OF THIS RANT. Im here to talk about the only 2 lip balms that I ended up using regularly.

Product: Tony Moly Lipcare Stick- Honey Moisture
(I got this bb for FREE when my mom bought 4 items from the shop)

PROS:
Made with Manuka Honey
Perfect for everyday wear!
(thin consistent coats. not a gloopy consistency)
Softens the dry parts of the lips and makes it easy for you to scrub it off

CONS:
Not long lasting

Product: Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream Lip

PROS:
Gives your lips an amazing smooth shine!
Best for drier and cracked lips
Or just making you lips look plump and full

CONS:
BACTERIA BREEDING GROUND POT PACKAGING

  1. I love how my lips feel right after applying chapstick, I HATE that it never lasts long and I need to apply another laying in 30 minutes. The Elizabeth Arden Cream Lip sounds great, and reminds me of the Aritaum Overnight Lip Mask. I use the mask right before bed and it literally doesn't come off, so your lips are extra moisturized in the morning. It comes in a pot container too so I just died laughing when I read your con about bacteria breeding ground cause it's so true and I never thought about it >_<

  2. I used to not like wearing lip balms until I fell in love with matte. Now I would use a lip balm before any lip color products (except for matte ones) and before I go to bed. I'm just using Nivea. Oh and btw, where from the Philippines are you from? :)

  4. Hahaha I love licking my lips too. The 8 hour balm is really good! I wasn't keen on the "taste" at first but it certainly does a good job at moisturising :)

  5. Thank you for this insightful review!
I just use EOS for lip care haha, I'm very mainstream when it comes to lip balms, I guess, but I think once I finished my latest one, it's time to try something different!

  7. Great review! In theory, I love balms, but they always seem to leave my skin feeling slightly sticky

  8. I swear by Avon lip balm, it seriously moisturize my lips like no other. I have tried EA 8 Hour Cream for my lips before. It was great for the first week and then it dried out my lips even more.

    1. Thats so sad! I've been using mine for more than a year now and it hasn't made my lips drier. :c Which avon lip balm do you use?

  9. I don't like lip balms -- at all. I think it's because I tried the one from Maybelline, which tasted horribly. It was heavily scented, and I just couldn't tolerate it. I've gone back to just applying petroleum jelly on my lips.

  12. Haha I loved this post, I don't usually remember to wear lip balm too often because most days I will be sporting some sort of lipstick and am just too tired to remember in the evenings! I've heard great things about the Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream Lip, although the price of EA products doesn't sit well with my bank account xx

  13. I could seriously just stare for hours and hours at the Elizabeth Arden 7 Hour Lip Cream haha. Pity about the awkward (and sure, bacteria-breeding) pot design, but other than that it sounds great!
