What I Learned From 2015

A new year is coming upon us and as it is, a lot of reflecting and looking back has been happening in my little noggin. In hindsight, Im proud to say that I've conquered a lot of dragons this year especially with my first ever year in college and the start of my long dreamed of Youtube channel. ;) Now I didn't actually just come here to plug my youtube channel, Im here to talk about what I've learned from 2015.
◇ College is just as difficult as High School...but in a different way

Entering into college, I felt really intimidated and overwhelmed. How couldn't I? It was uncharted waters. However, as the days went by, I felt myself adjusting to the schedule that wasn't so consistent day to day. College presented to me new opportunities, especially outside of academics, that challenged my old habits/routine. Nevertheless, in the end of my first sem, I realized that what Im experiencing isn't actually a "level-up" from what I've been going through in high school but something of the same difficulty, just in a different world with different variables.

If I had one piece of advice to give people who are just starting college this year, it would be to be ready to change your habits (studying, eating, and sleeping) because changing is the only way to adapting.

I can be the chosen one

I was a late bloomer. In high school, it was only until I was in third year that I wanted to participate as leader in major batch-wide event. I applied for positions I felt that I was capable of doing but, I got none. I thought I was never going to be given the chance to lead because I wasn't born out of the womb leading and running for positions like some of my other batchmates  But, this year, I got the chance to be a project head. It was a surreal (and stressful) experience that I'll surely cherish.

(This is where Bea stops the soft and reflective mood)

 EVERYTHING is so (damn) expensive

Legit guys, I wasn't this financially-aware/conscious before 2015. Textbooks, readings, food, TUITION, you name it, its expensive.

 Music is the best background

Have you ever walked down the hallways with "Can't Sleep Love" from Pentatonix? It's amazing, 10/10 would recommend. It's like you're in a music video.

◇  There's always going to be someone doing it better

Lets just say, competition has been VERY PRESENT this year

but remember, there'll never be someone doing it the exact same way as you. So, you do
you ;)

Hope you guys
learned a
lot from 2015 too

  7. Bea, I LOVE this. As someone entering college this year, I'm so afraid of the changes to come but college-experienced bloggers like you have been prepping me mentally for it. I especially loved "I can be the chosen one." I'm pretty much set on killing my university years and making it the best I can so heck yeah, I can be the chosen one.

Thank you for this one, Bea, wishing you a wonderful 2016! <3
